So on Thursday I had my midterm. I am not sure how it went but I was just so relieved that it was over with. After class we headed to the Imperial War Museum.
We mainly focused on the WWI and WW2 parts of the museum. It was definitely interesting going and seeing it from the perspective of Britain and what happened on their side. It was neat because we went through a “bunker” and felt what it would have been like to be in a war, and we also were able to sit in an underground safety facility for people to hide in during the war. After that we had dinner and then we went and saw…WICKED!!!
What other place in the world can you just randomly decide you want to go see a musical, show up 45 minutes before it starts, get a great deal on seats and sitting in an awesome spot? Seriously! It was GREAT!
We were on the front balcony right in the middle. We had awesome seats! I had seen Wicked before but I was really excited to see it again and I love the music, so what could be better? The show was great!
It took me a little while to get use to everything because all the characters were speaking and singing in accents, which was a little weird, especially when they didn’t match up and so they pronounced words differently…it sometimes made the harmonies funny. Elphaba also had a pop voice and took a new spin on some of the notes. But nonetheless, I loved it! Afterwards Jenny and I decided to try and reenact the poster. It worked perfect except that I didn’t have a black hat…so we improvised...and used my cardigan!
I hope to see a play or two more while I am here, which I am so excited about! Gotta love London!

I was looking for an image from The Incredibles for the boy on the tricycle who yells out.... "That was totally WICKED!!" and I came across your blog site. Cool. I love the one from May 2010 regarding the Wicked play. Haven't had the chance yet to see that. Look forward to reading some more of your blogging. Keep up the great work. :)
