Jam Packed Day Three!

We woke up and went to classes first thing Friday morning...bleh! I hate that I have to go to school and do homework (LOTS OF IT!) while I am here. I hope that I can find a good balance between studying and sightseeing. The classes I am taking are: English and Political Science/History. They are a lot of work, which I am bummed about but...anyways. After class we went to the Museum of London, which was pretty cool. It was the history of England up until the 1700's. We had to fill out worksheets though along the way which stunk, we are not in 7th grade! Hello! This is Chelsea and I in front of the museum. It was crazy windy outside and got cold really fast. Goodbye warm weather! Throughout the museum there are a few interactive things, which caught my interest the most. This is what I would have looked like in the Victorian era. Pretty cute hat!
We also learned about the Great Fire in London that burnt down most of the city. Chelsea is wearing the fire fighting hat today and I am wearing the big leather ones they wore back then! COOL!

This video is of Kristen and me. They had a part of the museum where you can listen to music from the Restoration in London. It was pretty cool, except no one else could hear the music. So I started dancing in the museum and a lady who worked at the museum totally started laughing at me as she walked past. So, we decided to record it. (That dance move is for you Chuck!)
Here are some cute bonnets that we tried on at the gift shop! I have to say I am glad that they are out of fashion now!

After the museum we went to St. Paul's Cathedral in London. It was beautiful inside and out! We went inside and it had big vaulted ceilings and a large dome. Gorgeous! Sadly, we could not take pictures inside! It reminded me a lot of St. Peters Bascillia in Rome. We walked around the nave, isles and choir (like my terminology)? I admit though, I totally freaked out about how tall it was. I couldn't look up the dome because it was scary and then the group wanted to climb up it! There was another girl there who hated heights and so we decided to climb up the stairs with the group but when we got to the middle of the dome, looked down inside and saw how far up we were, we both started freaking out. We just stood and looked at the wall as we about cried. A lady helped us find the exit and we waited for the others back at the bottom. Not good!
We then went outside and took pictures and videos on the steps. This is actually the place in Mary Poppins Movie where the lady is feeding the birds and singing. So what did we do? Reenacted it of course!(Except the birds scared me, so I didn't get too close!)

We then came back for dinner and afterwards lots of people headed out to see plays. I had to stay and do kitchen duty so I didn't go but a few other girls and I went and did one of our "London Walks" in "Little Venice". (You can look under my pages on the right of my blog to see our adventure). There is also a little video we made because there was a place that looked similar to Pride and Prejudice and so we reenacted it (surprise, surprise!), but I will save you from the horror and me from the embarassment!
Cheerio!
