So today I woke up, blogged and then went to class. With 2 pop quizzes, turning in assignments and getting piled on more homework, I was kind of bummed. By the time class was done I just decided to sit down and do some homework. Though I did go to the store to get some postcards and some stamps to mail out to people.
We then had a delicious dinner and headed out to see a play at Shakespeare's Globe Theater. Yes, you heard me right. The real Theater where Shakespeare put on all of his plays.
It was amazing to actually be there. (When I walked inside I literally had to catch my breath. I was so amazed to see it and actually be there). We went and saw "A Midsummer's Night Dream". It was a little confusing and strange but overall good. The acting was incredible. We were what you call "groundlings" which means you pay less and you get to stand the whole entire time right by the stage. This means we got a good view of the play but we had to stand for 3 hours! Not fun!
In the play they act as faires for a little bit and so they wear masks. They then came around at intermission and gave out some masks and I got one!
And it was actually quite cold and since it is an open theater, we all huddled together. Overall I enjoyed it and I am excited we are going back to see another play there before I leave!
Cheerio!
P.S. Of course while I was there I had to reenact the scene from "Winning London" once again! This is where they have a sword fight in the Globe Theater and they quote Shakespeare to each other! Yay!
