Trains, Buses, Tubes...Oh My!

So this Sunday was crazy (hence the title of this post). Here is how our morning went down:

1. Went to the tube station. Closed Down. Tried another, also closed.
2. Waited and then finally caught a bus to Victoria Train Station
3. Wait for train at station, finally realize they are shut down.
4. Transfer to another bus (wait 10 minutes for driver) to Waterloo Station.
5. Not sure which train to catch, get on one.
6. Realize a couple minutes into it we are on the wrong train.
7. Get off to transfer trains and realize next one coming in an hour.
8. Walk and find a bus to take us to another town.
9. Find another train station, get on the Right train this time.
10. Arrive in Penge East, where our church is, 2.5 hours after leaving the center.
11. Missed Sacrament Meeting but made it in time for Sunday School.
12. Whew!

Angry Students:

We finally made it to church! Sunday School was good and then the Relief Society asked me to help out in Primary and so the teachers could go to Relief Society. I was happy to go and help out. It was nothing like I was expecting though. They don't have classes and the Junior and Senior Primary are not even seperated. There were kids from 2-12 in the room and they colored the whole time which was interesting.

After church was so fun! This young couple in the ward who are recently married and just had their first child invited us over for lunch. He went to BYU and she served her mission in Salt Lake and so it was fun to talk to them about American things. The lunch was great and it felt so good to just be in a home!

We then came back, had dinner and I was in charge of the fireside that night and so I conducted and we had a speaker come talk to us about England during WW2. Pretty cool!

  1. So Aubs, the lingering question that everyone wants to know is this:

Where were the flying monkeys and just how far is your lip sticking out in pic# 1?

    :o)
